For one of our school assignments we went to 'Beeld en Geluid' and they gave us a political illustration. Our assignment was to then give our own twist to it and make our own political illustration. The illustration I got was the one here on the left of the text. It's about how the world is getting corrupted by things like capitalism, nationalism, and militarism. I think I got really lucky with this illustration because it's a very clear illustration and something I agree with. I am just generally very interested in politics and history so I really loved this assignment. As a twist I chose to change the world to just the students. I feel like my generation is getting really fucked over by our government and I do not feel taken seriously. I really loved the gore in the original illustration so I chose to crank it up a bit to hopefully get people's attention and maybe our cry for help will be heard.
